Upcoming races:

-Dutch mountain trail (?): 100km trail through the hills of my hometown in 2(?) days

-Egmond half marathon (12-01): Probably the most beautiful and hardest half marathon in the Netherlands

Past races:

-Morecambe 10 miles (18-11): Horrendous British weather, but first place and first time breaking 1 hour (57.17) over 10 miles!

-Eindhoven Marathon (13-10): 6-minute PB on the marathon! Increased mileage paying off

-Run Winschoten (14-09): My first 100km! Started too fast, crashed at 60km, but finished

-Bergen parkrun (07-09): Last burst of speed on my hilliest parkrun ever

-Vooroeverloop (01-09): Failed to get that sub 35 minutes 10km, but finished 1st

-Boston Twilight 5000 (25-7): From the trails to the track in 5 days is not recommended. Still a tiny 2 sec PB on the 5k

-Eiger Ultra (21-7): 53km Panorama trail. Beautiful course and exceeded top 100 goal

-Rotterdam Ekiden 5k (6-7): 1 second PB (16.44) on the 5k as part of a 6-person marathon-relay team. Finished second among the mixed teams (2.30.20)

-Boston Waterfront 5k (9-6): Finished 3rd in a PB (16.18), but the course was unfortunately 120 meters too short

-Koning van Spanje Ultimate (10-5 till 12-5): 18+43+30km trails through the beautiful hills around my hometown. Finished in 3rd place!

-Alkmaar City Run 5k (8-5): Zigzagging through "Business runners"

-Boston Marathon (15-4-24): Not the time I was hoping for, but still one of the best crowds to run through

-Heuvelland marathon (17-3-24): Finished on the podium (3th) at a trail marathon through the hills of my hometown

-CPC half marathon (10-3-24): Paced my brother to a new PB

-Goodbye tour (19-02-24): Ran 75km from the university where I did my BSc to the university where I did my MPhil and PhD to end a decade at Dutch universities

-Great langdale marathon (21-10-23): "has a reputation as the toughest road marathon in the UK" and one of the most beautiful races I've run. Finished in second place.

-Morecamb Marathon (8-10-23): Just short of my PB, but won!

-Halve van Haarlem (24-09-23): Unexpected PB and a great test for the full marathon!

-Big 10 (03-09-23): Gambled on a sub 35min 10km and lost. Trying again next time

-Boston Twilight 5000 (17-08-23): First ever track race and a PB on the 5km
